“This music is the glue of the world Mark. It’s what holds it all together. Without this, life would be meaningless.”
Eddie, Empire Records
One of my great obsessions in high school was the movie Empire Records. I think for most of us who loved that movie, we romanticized about working in a cool store where it was perfectly acceptable to dress how you want – be who you were and drink copious amounts of coffee while jamming out to your favorite songs. (and maybe shave your head out of shear boredom) Maybe this is what drove me to become a photographer – HA! To celebrate its 20 year (GULP) anniversary we honored our 90’s roots, and in true form took our babes out to The Electric Fetus for national record store day followed up by a screening of Empire Records at The Fitzgerald Theater hosted by The Current.
PS Love this style? I love doing photojournalism style family/couple shoots – let me follow you around your favorite spot and document you in your “natural habitat”, so to speak! Book the “In My Life” Session at your favorite spot and let me follow you around for an hour!
